Jorge Lorenzo is the special ‘Alfa Romeo Fan’ of the year
For 2014, several times champion Jorge Lorenzo will be the face of the Alfa Romeo brand. A winning combination of one of the most well-known and appreciated racers at an international level and the brand with a century of history that superbly expresses Italian style and motoring experience together with a unique, winning spirit made of challenges and competition.
In particular, the exceptional 'Alfa Romeo Fan' will sport the Alfa Romeo logo both on the racing suit and the helmet used in the 2014 MotoGP World Championship, where he will compete with his official Yamaha YZR-M1 in the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team.
The agreement between the Alfa Romeo brand and champion Jorge Lorenzo also includes important communication and marketing activities on the traditional channels, the web and social media over the course of 2014. Through this sponsorship, Alfa Romeo confirms its position as the automotive brand that, more than any other, can express the atmosphere experienced on the tracks, as well as sharing the values of sportsmanship and desire to excel inherent both in the DNA of Alfa Romeo and the stars of motorcycle sport.
Jorge and Alfa Romeo 4C
In the rounds of the 2014 MotoGP World Championship, some Giuliettas, including the new Quadrifoglio Verdes, will be available to Jorge Lorenzo and his staff. This version is distinguished by the legendary emblem that has always distinguished the most "aggressive" Alfa Romeos in addition to the 4C supercar that Jorge himself will be driving.
The Spanish racer will also drive the Alfa Romeo 4C supercar on some circuits of the 2014 SBK Superbike World Championship. It was recently named Safety Car and Official Car of the thrilling championship, a role that it will perform together with the Quadrifoglio Verde versions of the MiTo and Giulietta. With the current season, Alfa Romeo is crossing the finish line of the seventh year in a row of partnership: the brand has taken part in the event since 2007 - as Top Sponsor, Safety Car and Official Car - sharing the same values of sportsmanship, technology and safety at the highest levels.

Jorge and Quadrifoglio Verde
For the qualifiers for the Grand Prix at Mugello, the sixth date in the 2014 MotoGP World Championship, Jorge Lorenzo weared the first of a special series due for launch in the course of the season, a unique helmet is customised with the legendary 'Quadrifoglio Verde' logo, the symbol that has identified the most high-performance vehicles made by Alfa Romeo since 1923, not only cars competing on the world's racetracks, but also certain special production versions.
The helmet for Mugello required 40 hours of work to reproduce the unique graphics created directly by Jorge Lorenzo and followed through all its production stages. In detail, the shell was first dulled with special sandpaper, then the graphics and paint were applied using pre-cut vinyl masks and, finally, it was customised with dedicated adhesives. The result is a unique, captivating item which pays homage to one of the most famous symbols in the world of motorsports: Alfa Romeo's 'Quadrifoglio Verde'.
