The Brand Alfa Romeo has participated, as a Gold Sponsor, to the 2014 edition of the historical race Mille Miglia, according to Enzo Ferrari the "most beautiful race in the world", which took place between Thursday 15 and Sunday 18 May on the famous route Brescia - Rome - Brescia, touching some of the most picturesque locations in Italy.
Alfa Romeo raced with three official cars belonging to the Historical Museum: 6C 1750 Gran Sport (1930), 6C 1500 Super Sport (1928) and 2000 Sportiva (1954); it took part to the event also a Giulietta Sprint (1954), prototype # 2, representing the model-icon which this year celebrates 60 years of life.
In conjunction with the 2014 Mille Miglia, Alfa Romeo has organized a series of activities in order to give all fans an immersive 'Brand Experience'.
In Brescia and Rome there were stands of the brand celebrating the anniversary of the Giulietta, with the exposure of important historical models and current production, and proposals created by young promising designers who, in real time, made sketches based on the concept of "Alfa Romeo's future", inspired at the same time by the cars that have made the history of Alfa Romeo and participated in the Mille Miglia.
In Padua, instead, the artist Jonathan Calugi / Machas has turned into "Art Car" a MY 2014 Giulietta 2.0 Diesel 150 hp, decorated "dusting" between Thursday and Friday night. The work was transferred Saturday into Piazza della Vittoria in Brescia, and was the star of the event organized by Radio Number One for the Night Fest.
