The cockpit of the New Giulia was conceived to put the driver at the center of all its ergonomic features. Harmonious, invisible man-machine line gives full command and control of the dashboard, odometer, gear box and steering wheel. The Italian approach to design combines simplicity, quality of materials and passionate handcrafting. The first thing a driver will sense once on board is the premium feeling created by the combination of materials: surfaces in real wood, brushed aluminum and Pieno Fiore leather, and technical fabrics. The steering wheel is wrapped with the finest leather, and features a unique detail: the start button, to ignite true love for the New Giulia with every drive.

SAFETY

SAFETY AND EXCITEMENT COME AS STANDARD

The New Giulia combines pure driving emotions and ultimate safety systems to leave the driver and its passenger relaxed and comfortable. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection function, Lane Departure Warning (LDW – comes as standard) and Cruise Control with speed limiter are available as standard on all Giulia versions.

This full set of safety features can be further completed by Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with rear cross-path detection and rear view camera with dynamic gridlines.

INTEGRATED BRAKE SYSTEM (IBS)

A WORLD PREMIERE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE MARKET

On New Giulia debuts, as a worldwide premier, the new electro-mechanical system which combines stability control and the traditional brake system components in one unique electro-mechanical system. The Integrated Brake System not only guarantees an important weight optimisation and a reduction of brake pedal vibration, but it provides an immediate feedback and a record braking distance: from 100 km/h a 0 in 38,5 metres.

INFOTAINMENT

PASSION IS IN YOUR HANDS

The New Giulia features an all-new generation infotainment system that features a 6.5” high definition display, Bluetooth, USB and steering wheel controls. The human/machine interface is managed by an intuitive Rotary Pad. On request, the infotainment system comes with the Connect 3D Nav 8.8”, with DAB receiver and a 7” TFT instrument color cluster. The New Giulia also features an optional cutting-edge Harmon Kardon Sound Theatre System that enhances driving pleasure, thanks to the power of 14 speakers, including subwoofer.

POWERTRAIN

AT THE HEART OF A NEW EMOTION

The New Giulia features 2 engines, all turbo-charged and built in aluminium, combining performance and efficiency with an unprecedented balance. 2.0 Petrol with 147 kW 8-speed automatic transmission. In order to deliver a progressive response without turbo lag, the turbocharger operates also at low speeds, increasing torque.

EXCITEMENT BALANCED ON DYNAMISM

The return to rear-wheel drive combined with precise and direct steering wheel, represents the ultimate synthesis of sportiness and comfort for pure driving pleasure. The rearward cockpit lays directly on the driving wheels, balanced by the longitudinal front position of the aluminum engine and the carbon fiber driveshaft. All its power is transferred to the road with an optimal weight distribution along the frame.

NEW ALFALINK™ SUSPENSION

UNLEASH PASSION IN FULL CONTROL

New Giulia is equipped with the new patented Alfa Link™ suspension scheme. Front double wishbone with semi-virtual steering axle keeps the front wheels perfectly perpendicular to the ground, even in fast cornering situations, improving steering wheel torque linearity by 20% and reducing understeer. Rear 4-and-a-half links is able to provide best-in-class handling (lateral grip) whilst offering premium comfort.

The New Giulia reaches a C_dequal to 0.25 thanks to the great commitment in aerodynamic development, and the exhaustive work conducted in the wind tunnel. In particular, the underbody protection and diffuser improves the airflow under the car and the aerodynamic flow management at the rear, offering less turbulence, and more dynamic efficiency.
